Emily:
I am an undergraduate student in my senior year at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Upon graduation in May 2017, I will have earned my Bachelors of Business Administration degree in Marketing. I am a member of the Student Organization: Students Today, Leaders Forever. Through this organization, I attended a Pay it Forward Tour, where I got the opportunity to travel the country and work on various service projects in different cities. Aside from being a passionate volunteer and traveler, I am an avid foodie and exerciser. I love trying and cooking new cuisine. I also work part time at The University of Wisconsin Madison Department of Medicine and have run in two half marathons.

Soup:
Soup is a blog that brings me one step closer to pursuing my dream of opening a restaurant. I will try out new recipes and share the processes of my culinary works. I hope that through this process I will discover what works and doesn't work for different recipes and techniques in order to create soup works of art. I am not perfect, nor am I a real chef, so these posts give the basics to each recipe. I believe that cooking has a lot to do with taste and taste testing, so a lot of my recipes will tell you to do so. I have cooked these soups for myself but I cannot be there to see, smell and eat what you are making, which is where personal tastes and testing come into play. Take all of these recipes with a grain of salt (HA! Fitting saying for a soup-food blog). I was head chef and photographer during the making of all of these recipes, but had some help along the way.
Collaborators:
Christian Bauer: Christian is one of my roommates who shares a passion for soup with me. One day Christian and I sat down and wrote out a business plan for a future soup restaurant we would like to open and the rest is history. He has been with me for most of this journey and was a key chef and taste tester when I cooked quite a few of these recipes.
Ashley Zimmermann: Ashley is another one of my roommates. She has also been a part of this blog and the creation of a few of these soups. She has been an integral part to motivating me to go out and purchase ingredients and execute on these soup recipes.
Allie Kisch: Another roommate, another collaborator, what can I say. Allie was soup-er excited about this project, just like me. She took great pride in helping me photograph our soup masterpieces, and made sure to capture the moments of my soup blog journey.
Allyson Panitch: Allyson is my mother who kindly donated to me her kitchen, time, and food for some of these recipes.
Samantha Panitch: Samantha was a hero when it came to my homemade broth. She fearlessly took the steps that I would not and pulled bones off of a Thanksgiving Turkey Carcass for me.
Elizabeth Koskiewicz: Without Liz, I would not have the lovely headshot included in my bio. She was responsible for taking this photograph, and then going above and beyond with her impeccable editing skills. Not much would have been possible without her constant encouragement and support.
